John Shearer and his team at Shearer Painting painted wood cabinets at my residence in Seattle in October 2011. They used Benjamin Moore’s Advanced waterbased enamel in a very dark green color. I trusted Shearer painting to do the right prep work, protect my furniture, and apply the paint expertly; which they did. I own six Benjamin Moore paint dealerships in Seattle and I am very familiar with all the products I sell. I made the decision to use Advanced in lieu of our traditional highly regarded oil Satin Impervo. I do not regret this this decision. After one year the finish remains very durable and color consistent. Eventually all oil base products may be phased out nationally as they currently are in the state of California. One distinct advantage is due to the low VOC content in the Advanced product. My family did not have to endure the residual odor of oil base paint as it cures. Shearer Painting did an excellent job, their attention to detail and final look of the cabinets greatly exceeded my expectations. Shearer Painting also stuck to the schedule promised and kept me informed during the whole project. I highly recommend Shearer Painting and the Benjamin Moore Advanced enamel paint.
